OLIVE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An Olive Township man who police say stabbed his wife to death Monday evening has been been charged with Open Murder.
45-year-old Matthew Richard Hallacy was arraigned Wednesday in Ottawa County District Court. Bond was denied and he remains in the Ottawa County Jail.
32-year-old Quinn Arielle Hallacy died of knife wounds in the incident that happened around 6:45 p.m. Monday in the 6200 block of 120th Avenue near Port Sheldon Street in Olive Township.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Matthew Hallacy drove away from the scene but was later arrested in Holland. He was brought to the hospital with minor injuries and then taken to the Ottawa County Jail.
Three kids who were in the home during the assault were not injured.
