HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – A road rage incident boiled over into a full fledged fight with a gun involved in Holland Township Sunday afternoon.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 12:00 p.m. for two subjects fighting in the roadway on 136th Avenue near Riley Street. The caller said one subject had a gun and that a shooting may have taken place.
Moments later, deputies arrived on scene and took the subjects into custody. The investigation showed that the two males started fighting because of the road rage incident and that a firearm was not discharged during the physical altercation.
One of the men was from Holland and the other was from Saginaw, Michigan. No injuries were reported.
136th Avenue, north of Riley Street, was shut down for a period of time during this investigation.
