ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 17, 2023) – A new home for mental health services in Allegan County is unveiled on Monday, when Board Chairman Jim Storey of Holland and other county leaders hold a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated offices of a rebranded OnPoint.
There will be self-guided tours of the facility following the ceremony through 5 PM.
The agency’s shift from the Dumont Lake county administration building has cleared up space for moving more county operations to north of the Allegan city limits. The county treasurer, clerk and drain commissioner have objected to leaving the Chestnut Street County Courthouse on state constitutional grounds and have taken the Board and the county to court to try and stop the move.
