HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 13, 2023) – The 94th Tulip Time Festival continues with its eighth day of activities on Saturday.
All day events include historic walking tours at Window on the Waterfront Park, along with the Tulip Immersion Garden outside of Beechwood Church. The tall ship Friends Good Will from the Michigan Maritime Museum holds tours from Boatwerks East Dock on Lake Macatawa, while the Art in Bloem fine art showcase is inside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, the Tulip Time Quilt Show is inside Beechwood Church, and the Carnival is outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place.
The highlight of the day is the Quality Car Wash Volksparade, which steps off from the corner of Columbia Avenue and East 8th Street at 2 PM. Coverage with Dan Evans and Patty Vandenberg begins at 1:30 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC.
The Bicycle Showband Crescendo from the Netherlands has two performances at Ray & Sue Smith Stadium. Dutch Dancers perform along 8th Street ahead of the parade before evening performances at Centennial Park. Other attractions tonight include a performance of Nana’s Naughty Knickers at the Holland Community Theatre and fireworks at Kollen Park.
