Robert Lee Haasjes, age 74, of Hudsonville, passed away on May 29, 2023.
Bob was born and raised in Holland to parents Raymond and Lois Haasjes. He and his wife of 54 years, Edna, raised their children in Holland as well. Bob worked 25 years for General Electric and almost 20 years for Consumer’s Energy. He was always known for his dedication and excellent work ethic.
Bob was an avid sports fan and loved watching college basketball and football, especially Notre Dame. He enjoyed working with wood and going for long drives in the country with Edna. Bob is fondly remembered for the special times he spent with family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lois Haasjes; in-laws John and Charlotte Bosma; and his sister-in-law Rose.
He is survived by his loving wife Edna; son Mike (Amy); daughter Jennifer (Kenny); grandchildren Victoria, Chayse, Isaac, and Tycen; as well as three great-grandchildren and one on the way. Bob is also survived by his brother George; sisters Deb and Sandy; as well as brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 2 from 4-7 PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services – 11939 James St. Holland, 49424. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
