HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 27, 2023) – For the third straight day, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department has had to deal with an act of violent assault north of Holland.
On Tuesday afternoon, just after 1 PM, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to a residence in the 2900 block of 128th Avenue, north of Felch Street, on a report of a stabbing there. According to Sergeant Chris Dill, an altercation between two men led to a 25-year-old Grand Rapids man suffering from a non-life threatening knife cut that required treatment at an undisclosed area hospital, while the other man, a 22-year-old from Holland Township, had minor injuries that was addressed at the scene. No names or any other circumstances were disclosed pending a possible court arraignment in the matter.
On Sunday evening, a 36-year-old man died when he was shot at an condominium unit near 120th Avenue between Felch and Riley Streets, and on Monday night, deputies and residents at a mobile home park off of 146th Avenue and Stanton Street in West Olive hear gun shots, but apparently nobody was wounded. There have been no reported arrests in either of these incidents.
