HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 13, 2024) – It may be a little late to start working on an entry for 2024, but Saturday’s National Quilting Day could be a good time to begin a project for the 2025 Tulip Time Quilt Show.
The annual exhibit of some of the best work by area quilt makers is set for the Midtown Center (95 W. 15th St.) during the 95th renewal of Holland’s annual signature event, from May 4th through the 12th. There will be a hundred bed and wall quilts on display, with visitors encouraged to vote for their favorites during the Viewers Choice competition that runs through the 11th. Entries for this year are being accepted through April 1st at the Tulip Time Office (42 W. 8th St.), with forms available at the festival’s website.
In addition, a Tulip Time Quilt Raffle begins on April 2nd with a special creation, a 41-inch square quilt pieced and appliqued by Sally Leap, Cheryl Zylman and Barb Schippa, which was unveiled during last month’s First Bloem ceremony, displayed at the Apothecary Gift Shop (35 W. 8th St.) downtown through the end of the festival. Raffle tickets are available now at the Tulip Time Festival office about a block west of that establishment, and also at the Gift Shop during the length of this exhibit.
