CASCO TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 13, 2024) – A motorcyclist lost his life after crashing his machine with a truck that was hauling a trailer north of South Haven on Thursday afternoon.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department didn’t immediately disclose any details as to the identity of the biker, or much about the circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred around 2:20 PM on Blue Star Highway near the 107th Avenue junction. The motorcyclist was “unresponsive” when first responders arrived at the scene, and he eventually succumbed to his injuries at Holland Hospital.
The area was closed off for some time while deputies reconstructed the incident, as is the usual procedure in a serious or fatal collision. Investigators didn’t initially believe that speed or alcohol were contributing factors as a probe into the matter continues.
