HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 5, 2024) – A 41-year-old Holland man was hospitalized following a Sunday night collision between a SUV and his bicycle on Holland’s North Side.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cassie Tolman, the unnamed cyclist was attempting to cross Douglas Avenue at Van Dyke Street, just north of Dunton Park, around 10 PM when he was struck by the eastbound vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old Hudsonville man. The biker was taken to an undisclosed “area hospital” for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threatening; the unnamed motorist was unhurt.
No other details were initially revealed as the incident remains under investigation.
