Jerry Genzink, age 91, of Holland, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 2, 2024.
Jerry loved his family and was married to the love of his life, Leona, for 68 years.
Jerry was a lifelong member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church where he served on Council, attended Men’s Society and worked with Cribs for Christ. His faith and faithfulness were an excellent example for his family.
Jerry served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955 and was stationed in Germany where he achieved the rank of corporal.
His primary occupation was that of a plumber, which he did very successfully for over 50 years, first with his brother Russ at Genzink Plumbing and then on his own for several years. He also worked as a carpenter, in dry cleaning, owned a Laundromat and several rental units.
He was always positive and quick with a smile. He loved to use the words “wonderful” and “beautiful” for a job well done. He will be remembered for his example of Christian living, his love for family and hard work.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but always remembered as a faithful Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
