Rylie Bisballe and Nicole Kamin each had 14 points as Grand Valley State’s women downed visiting Ashland in Allendale last night, 67-42. The Lakers are now away from competition for a couple of weeks, until beginning GLIAC play against visiting Saginaw Valley State at the Fieldhouse Arena on Thursday, December 5th.
In state major-college basketball last night, Michigan beat Tarleton State, 72-49, and Eastern Michigan won at Oakland, 68-64.

In NCAA Division III women’s volleyball championship tournament first round action at DeVos Fieldhouse yesterday, Hope advanced with a straight-set win over visiting Greenville. The Flying Dutch entertain Wisconsin-Stevens Point, who needed five sets to advance past Otterbiein, in a regional semifinal this evening in Holland.
