HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 16, 2025) – Five organizations and three individuals were honored as the City of Holland announced its Social Justice Award winners prior to Wednesday night’s City Council meeting.
The award program spotlights those who promote equal opportunity and equal access for all Tulip City residents, and is handed out annually on or near the date of the birth of famed civil rights advocate Dr. Martin Luther King.
Earning the honors were: Mosaic Counseling in Education; the Ottawa County Community Action Agency in Government Relations; 3Sixty in Community Relations; Brothers & Sisters Homes in Housing; HEARTSafe Holland in Health Services; Chase Magsig in Accessibility; Karinna Martinez in Youth Social Justice; and Kay Walvoord with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Over the past 26 years, the annual Social Justice Awards program has recognized 121 individuals and organizations.
