Jack Daryl Haley, 67, of Holland, MI, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on February 26,2025 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born February 24, 1958, to the late James and Gail Haley.
Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Haley; daughters, Jackie Haley of Holland, Amanda Haley of Holland, Jen and son-in-law Joe Lewis of Hudsonville, Faith Haley of Holland and his beloved dog Keagan. Jack is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Jaliyah, Kenzie, Lee, Chris and Azaylia.
His parents, James and Gail (Kooiker) Haley; In-laws, Earnest and Arlene Vander Hulst and recently his sister, Diane Brink, preceded Jack in death.
Jack attended West Ottawa High School. He worked early in life at Corlett-Turner Co., where he met his wife Mary. He then went to learn a trade in the construction business working for Dyke-Highland Construction then Boerman Masonry. In recent years, he was self-employed doing masonry and odd jobs.
Jack enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, duck hunting and golf! He was often hanging around in his pole barn doing woodworking and fixing things with his dog by his side. He liked gardening and working in the yard. He loved the outdoors.
Visitation/Celebration of Life is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Ave in Holland, MI from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project. Jack was not a veteran himself but always respected those who did serve.
