OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 13, 2025) – What if what happened on Thursday in India had occurred locally?
Multiple deaths were reported on the ground after an Air India flight crashed in the western part of that nation. A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was bound for London when it reportedly crashed into the residential quarters of a doctor’s college. Airline officials say 241 people on the plane were killed, with only one passenger surviving the impact, and there are reports of multiple people dead on the ground.
Ottawa County Emergency Management Director Lou Hunt has had experience in dealing with a possible passenger plane crash at Ford Airport in Grand Rapids, during his tenure as Kent County’s Emergency Manager, before heading west nearly five years ago.
