UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 25, 2025) – No final decisions will be made as three local governmental entities meet on Wednesday.
A morning session (10 AM) of the Douglas Downtown Development Authority at city hall (86 W. Center St.), along with an evening gathering (5 PM) of the Port Sheldon Planning Commission at the township offices (16201 Port Sheldon St.), will have discussions on food truck ordinances. Meanwhile, the 6 PM biweekly Holland City Council study session, in the second floor Training Room of city hall (270 S. River Ave.), has a conversation on the city’s housing support policy, along with a long-term strategic look at pension and health care costs. The latter discussion may be similar to what the Saugatuck City Council went through this past Monday, when it was proposed to offer employees changes in health plan options, based on higher-than-expected rate increases from that municipality’s current health provider.
