Jay C. Meyering age 83, of Holland, died Monday, September 1, 2025.
He attended Rose Park Church and worked in the automotive industry as a technical support specialist until retirement. He covered most of the Midwest throughout his career. Jay was a collector of almost anything. He was also a member of the West Michigan Mustang Club.
Jay is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian; sons, Phil and Karen Meyering, Darrel and Irene Meyering, Dave and Liz Meyering, Jason and Sarah Meyering; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Stephanie, Stacey, Tony; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Joyce Sandy and Bob Meyering; in-laws, Ken and Margie Vanden Hoek, Roger and Linda Vanden Hoek, Dan Vanden Hoek, Lois Vanden Hoek; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th st. Holland with Rev. Mark Waterstone officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
