OTSEGO TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 12, 2025) – A 34-year-old Plainwell man suffered what was initially described as critical injuries after his motorcycle collided with a passenger vehicle in a shopping center parking lot west of Plainwell on Thursday afternoon.
No names were disclosed by Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Hunter Koster following the incident, which was shortly before 2 PM, outside of the Walmart store in the Oaks Crossing complex off of Allegan Street (M-89). It appeared that the unhelmeted biker crashed into the vehicle and was thrown from his machine. He was taken to an undisclosed “local hospital” for treatment. The condition of the other motorist, a 74-year-old woman from an unnamed hometown, was not mentioned.
Koster added that reckless driving and drugs appeared to be factors in the incident, which remains under investigation.
