HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Park Township resident Matthew Edward Owens, 47 has been arrested by Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with felony criminal sexual conduct.
Sheriff’s Capt. Mark Bennett said detectives started an investigation after being alerted by a 46-year-old Holland Township woman who reported she’d been assaulted during a scheduled therapy appointment on Feb. 15, 2021 at a Ideal Bodyworks Massage Therapy, 603 E. 16th St. in Holland Township. WHTC is attempting to contact the person responsible for the business.
The company’s website lists nine massage therapists and Owen’s name is no longer among them. Bennett noted Owens is a licensed massage therapist.
Owens is in Ottawa County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
