ALLENDALE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 23, 2025) – Motorists involved in a two-vehicle crash west of Allendale on Sunday morning were injured.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Chris Armstrong, the driver of a westbound delivery truck on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) was attempting to make a U-turn at Red Hawk Lane, near 74th Avenue, around 10:15 AM. The maneuver came in front of a westbound sedan that couldn’t avoid a collision, which led to the car going off the roadway, and the truck blocking the two-lane highway.
While the delivery driver, a 28-year-old Grand Rapids man, was treated for bumps and bruises at the scene, the sedan driver, a 19-year-old Coopersville man, was taken in serious condition by a LIFE EMS crew to a undisclosed medical facility in Grand Rapids.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
