COOPERSVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 26, 2025) – A 15-year-old girl is expected to recover from being hit by a sedan in Coopersville on Wednesday morning.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Ryan DeVries following the incident that occurred shortly before 11 AM at the intersection of West Randall Street and Pin Oak Drive, just west of East Street. The youth was in a marked crosswalk, with lights flashing to alert traffic of her presence, when she was struck.
The pedestrian was taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids in serious condition, but the initial prognosis was that her injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. An 87-year-old Coopersville man driving the westbound sedan was not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
