OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Dec. 2, 2025) – The drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash in West Olive on Tuesday afternoon were hospitalized.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Nicholas Knott following the incident around 2:45 PM at the intersection of US-31 and Port Sheldon Street. A southbound pickup truck, pulling a utility trailer, struck an eastbound sedan. The collision pinned a 42-year-old woman in the sedan, and after rescuers extricated her from her vehicle, she was taken to Corewell-Zeeland Hospital in serious condition. The pickup motorist, a 43-year-old man from Kentwood, went to Holland Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
