HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 10, 2026) – The scourge that is human trafficking is being spotlighted during the month of January.
State Attorney General Dana Nessel conducted her annual roundtable discussion in Lansing on Thursday in conjunction with National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, looking to raise public awareness on the matter, and how law enforcement and other advocates can collaborate to combat it. The session focused on how to better protect survivors, hold traffickers accountable, and address concerns about child sex trafficking.
It’s an issue that has permeated everywhere, including Ottawa County, according to Prosecuting Attorney Sarah Matwiejczyk.
