Born in Allen Park, Michigan, Pattie moved to West Michigan upon marrying Paul Jager in 1981. Their married life together was founded in Christ and characterized by devoted love for their growing family and deep joy in being outdoors. Pattie’s passion was fishing, even at a young age. In the last twelve years, she recovered this passion, steadily acquiring gear to fish Michigan’s ponds, lakes, and rivers in every season. Pattie was a musician who loved using her gifts as a singer, guitarist, and flute player to lead the church in worship. Professionally, Pattie was an accountant; she worked in various offices and was especially proud of the work of Audio Scripture Ministries.
Pattie is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 45 years, Paul; her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Ashley Jager, and their two young daughters, Elizabeth and Adalyn; her daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Ethan Niemeyer, and their infant daughter, Morgan; by three sisters, Charyl (David) Booth of Gaylord, Michigan, and Caryn Dreher of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Megan (Joe) Stuckey of Duncan Oklahoma; by one first cousin, Doug (Mary) Rosner, of Livonia, Michigan; by in-laws Phil and Nancy Jager, Carolyn and Todd DeKryger, Linda and Kurt Weaver, and Sue and Paul Rozeboom; and by many nephews and nieces. Pattie was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Dreher, and her mother Donna (Horning) Dreher Sorrell.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Ave., Holland. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland.
