ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 27, 2026) – Although Easter Sunday isn’t until April 5th, one Lakeshore community will get the jump on its neighbors on one familiar and fun aspect of the holiday.
Zeeland’s second annual Easter Egg Hunt is slated for Saturday morning, and as Assistant City Manager Kevin Plockmeyer cautions, the early bird who is at the site of the splash pad, at the corner of Elm Street and Main Avenue, when the search begins for those five and under at 9:30 will not get the worm, but the eggs that may have a number inside for a raffle prize.
For those youngsters from six to 12, the Easter Egg hunt on Main, from Elm to Church streets, kicks off at 10 AM. Limits of 15 eggs per child, and one prize per family, are in effect.

Other Saturday Easter egg events are scheduled for Forest Grove Reformed Church in Hudsonville and Faith Community Church in Coopersville, while Jenison Christian Church has its festivities on Palm Sunday. Next Saturday, hunts are slated for Quincy Park, Hagar Park Church, Life Stream Church in Allendale, the Coopersville Farm Museum, Hamilton schools’ soccer practice field, and City Park in Wayland.
