ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 6, 2026) – Maintaining library service for Blendon Township is on the agenda for the Zeeland City Council on Monday evening.
Among the items to be discussed by the governing panel is a extension of the current service contracts by both Zeeland and Hudsonville for access by Blendon Township residents to both the Howard Miller and Gary Byker Memorial libraries, respectively. The pacts are set to expire on June 30th, and the township is expected ask voters to renew a current 12-year-long millage on the August 4th Primary Election ballot, as that levy is set to expire this year. As part of the extension, the township will be providing an additional payment equal to 50 percent of the millage funds generated from last December’s annual levy.
Also on the agenda are resolutions to set public hearings for May 4th on proposed Brownfield Plans for the 17 East Main and JR Automation building projects.
The Zeeland City Council’s 7 PM meeting is preceded by a 6:15 PM Work-Study Session, both of which will be in Chambers at Zeeland City Hall (21 S. Elm St.). An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
