HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 8, 2026) – A nearly 20-year veteran of the Holland Department of Public Safety Fire Operations team has earned a high honor.
On Tuesday, the department announced that Jason Voss was selected as the 2026 Paid-On-Call Firefighter of the Year. Nominated by his peers for his dedication to the department and his team members, Voss was chosen for his willingness to grow and learn new skill sets, an ability to step up and accept any task, exercising leadership in the process, and exhibiting many other traits consistent with the department’s core values of compassion, respect, integrity, professionalism and dedication.
Voss came to the Holland DPS in 2007 from Park Township, where he had served in its Fire Department, and has earned various credentials through training with the Michigan Firefighters Training Council. He will represent the department in various functions over the next year as a result of this honor.
