Catherine Mae Wasson, aged 97, peacefully shed her earthly coils and passed into God’s heavenly arms on Sunday April 19th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Cook, and her brother Don Bosch and her great grandson Maxwell Clay Kerr. She is survived by her children, daughter Cheryl and Dennis Klingenberg and son Craig Wasson of the Holland / Zeeland area, grandchildren, Karen & Dan Jedrzejewski from Florida, Christina & Ryan Traynor from Wisconsin, and Catherine Meyer from Holland, and eight great grandchildren.
Catherine was the valedictorian of the 1947 graduation class from Zeeland High School and attended Davenport University where she received an associate’s degree in business which she put to good use in her family’s business, Bosch’s Restaurant. For the next 50+ years she dedicated her life to her business and her community. Serving on the boards of many local organizations supporting the local business communities, schools (her beloved Chix), and local non-profit groups. Whether it was the countless meals that she prepared at Bosch’s or the thousands of hats and afghans crocheted over the years, her hands never rested…. Rest in Peace now good and faithful servant.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Second Reformed Church of Zeeland, 225 East Central Ave., Zeeland MI 49464. Visitation will be 4:00-6:30 PM, Thursday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
