HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 11, 2026) – A record number of graduates, along with family members, friends and community members, were bathed in sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50’s, as Hope College held its 161st Commencement Ceremony at Ray & Sue Smith Stadium on Sunday.
Following two separate baccalaureate worship services at Dimnent Chapel in the morning, school President Matthew Scogin handed out symbolic sheepskins to 815 members from the Class of 2026.
The graduates also named Assistant Professor of Communication Rob Pocock as its Hope Outstanding Professor Educator award winner, while Head Football Coach Peter Stuursma delivered the commencement address.
