HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 27, 2026) – The attendance numbers are in for Holland’s annual signature event.
On Tuesday, Tulip Time Festival officials announced that nearly 900,000 persons came to the 97th renewal, from May 1st through the 10th, based on “visitation data.” While this is down from the over 976,000 that came to the Tulip City last year, this drop could be attributed to early tulip blooms, cooler weather, and more challenging overall economic conditions.
The fireworks and drone show over Lake Macatawa on the penultimate evening of May 9th did bring over 24 thousand visitors to Kollen Park, a 25 percent increase from 2025.
The financial impact is still being calculated, according to Festival Executive Director Gwen Auwerda.
The 98th Tulip Time Festival is set for April 30 through May 9 of 2027.
