David Earl McBeth of Holland, Michigan, passed away peacefully June 8, 2026.
He was born in Snoqualmie, Washington, and was the oldest of five brothers.
He studied at Washington State University and Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, where he received his MD license.
David ran the dialysis unit at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon, Michigan, and worked in the emergency room at Ludington Hospital. He enjoyed reading, golfing, and traveling.
David was in the US Army and served as a physician in Vietnam.
He also worked putting out fires in Alaska before he became a doctor. He said that it helped pay for his medical education.
David is preceded in death by his parents, June Reed McBeth and Orin R. McBeth.
Surviving him is his loving wife of thirty years, Marianne Walters McBeth, and his children, Dr. Brian McBeth/Jessica, Kevin McBeth/Jennifer, and Katheryn McBeth/Kelly Creamer. David has 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
David and Marianne celebrated both of their heritages when they toured throughout Scotland, visiting numerous castles and even the battleground of the Culloden rebellion, where they walked the land!
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 659 State Street in Holland, Michigan, on June 18 at 11:00 with visitation at 10:30.
A private graveside service with full military honors will be held on June 19th at 12:00PM.
