MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 17, 2026) – The search is on over two counties for the whereabouts of a 77-year-old Grand Haven man whose is considered an “endangered person.”
On Thursday afternoon, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the disappearance of Dennis King, a person afflicted with dementia who was last seen on Monday at Trinity Health Muskegon, where he was taken for treatment, and apparently left on foot shortly thereafter, without his walker, which he needs to get around.
Mr. King was last seen in the area of Sherman Boulevard, between US-31 and Utah Street, wearing black rimmed prescription glasses, a light blue or aqua colored zip up jacket, black pants, and white/black shoes. He is described as a Caucasian man with gray hair, standing 5-7 and weighing 215 pounds.
He had recently moved to Grand Haven, knowing nobody except his daughter, who reported him missing. She said that he doesn’t have a cell phone, wouldn’t know how to use one, and has been without his medication since his disappearance.
Anyone who may have information as to where Dennis King may be is asked to contact Ottawa County Central Dispatch (800-249-0911) or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
