HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 26, 2026) – Nobody was hurt following a garage fire, which spread to a couple of houses and several parked vehicles, during the overnight hours on Sunday in Holland.
Department of Public Safety Fire Operations crews, along with Police Service officers and AMR ambulance staffers, were dispatched to a residence off of Washington Avenue, between West 16th and West 17th avenues, shortly after 3 AM. They arrived to find a garage attached to a residence fully engulfed in flames, and the blaze had already spread. Crews aggressively brought the intense fire under control before it could grow even more, with no persons or pets were located inside either of the two houses involved, and the parked vehicles were vacant at the time.
No cause of the fire, or a dollar estimate of damage caused, was immediately determined, as the incident remains under investigation.
