Cynthia Mary Rademaker Born October 21st, 1941, in Highland Park, Michigan to Albert James Braun and Helen Mabel Burkheiser. She passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026, in Holland, Michigan at the age of 84.
During her childhood she spent many enjoyable summers at the family cottage “The Sandtrap” in Caseville, Michigan. Memories of those times lead her and her husband, Thomas Rademaker to build a cottage in Port Sheldon, Michigan (where Thomas spent his boyhood at his family cottage) in the summer of 1971, where they retired to in 2003 and where she was residing at the time of her passing. An excellent cook, seamstress, and crafter, she also enjoyed reading and playing Scrabble.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Rademaker, her children, Patrick Rademaker and Jill (Paul) Nawrocki, and grandchildren Alexander Nawrocki (soon to be spouse Pax), Thomas Nawrocki, and Daniel Nawrocki. Also survived by a nephew David Froehlich and three nieces, Diane Conklin, Deborah Glaser and Lisa (Richard) Armand.
She was preceded in death by her brother Albert, sisters Barbara and Jacqueline, and brother-in-law Jerome Froehlich.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 480 152nd Ave, Holland, MI 49424, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 31, 2026, with an hour’s visitation before the service. Father Michael Burt will be officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes – Northwood Chapel.
