HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 25, 2026) – The staggered start for classes in Academic 2027 among Lakeshore school districts continues on Tuesday.
Following Fennville’s lead, in which the Blackhawks began classroom education last Wednesday, comes the first day of lessons in Saugatuck Public Schools and Holland Christian Schools. The Maroons will be under the guidance of first-year Head of Schools Jeff Haverdink, who returns to his alma mater after spending the last 14 years on the staff at Calvin University.
Hamilton and Black River begin classes on Wednesday; Holland, West Ottawa, Eagle Crest and Vanderbilt charter academies, and Calvary Schools of Holland start on Thursday; and Zeeland gets underway next Wednesday.
