Andrew Schuster threw for 283 yards, with five of his 10 completions going for touchdowns, three of which were caught by Kellen Reed, as Grand Valley State dispatched visiting West Texas A&M at Luebbers Stadium in Allendale last night, 56-14. GVSU travels to Ashland next Saturday evening.
In state major-college football tonight, Toledo is at Michigan State, and San Jose State is at Eastern Michigan.

Pete Crow-Armstrong’s two-run homer in the third inning was enough for the Cubs to edge the visiting Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field last night, 2-1. Chicago meets the Marlins in Miami this evening.
Isaac Parades’ RBI double broke a 2-2 tie in a four-run Houston third inning, as the Astros topped the visiting White Sox yesterday, 6-2. Chicago is home to the Minnesota Twins at Rate Field this evening.

Johnny Ascanio’s RBI single broke a 4-4 tie in the midst of a six-run Dayton eighth inning, as the Dragons rallied past the visiting West Michigan Whitecaps last night, 9-4. The series at Day Air Ballpark continues this evening.
