GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 16, 2026) – A 66-year-old Grand Haven area woman was critically injured after being struck in her driveway late on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, along with her 66-year-old husband, stood in the driveway at their Forest Park Drive residence near Ferris Street around 4:40 PM. That was when a southbound SUV, driven by a 58-year-old Grand Haven woman, stopped and attempted to make a U-turn by backing up into the driveway.
The driver apparently failed to see the couple and struck them. While the man escaped injury, the woman was critically injured and was taken to an “area hospital” for treatment. The driver was not hurt.
No names were disclosed as the incident remains under investigation.
