World-renowned Dutch horticulturist, Ibo Gülsen, sets up a week-long immersion experience, that takes travelers through the history of the tulip, from its origins in Turkey, to the Netherlands, and finally to the small-town community of Holland, Michigan. Gülsen will use 65,000 tulips of all varieties and colors to craft an experience that brings the tulips up to eye level and creates Instagrammable photo opportunities for friends and family alike.
Tickets: $15 per person ($5 for children 3-12 yrs, children 2 and under are FREE)

Learn our fair city’s unique and interesting history from a fully costumed guide on this beloved walking tour. You’ll see historical sites, tulip beds and local icons that give Holland its one-of-a-kind charm.
You’ll see many of downtown’s tulip displays along the way and will have plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Don’t forget to get a photo with your guide!
Tickets: $35 per person
Tours are available daily Saturday, May 4 through Sunday, May 12, starting every 20 – 30 minutes. When purchasing tickets you will select tour time slot.
Sat., May 4, Sun., May 5 and Sun., May 12 tours are available starting at 8:40am – 3:40pm
Mon., May 6, Tue., May 7, Wed., May 8 and Fri., May 10 tours are available starting at 8:30am – 3:00pm
Thur., May 9 and Sat., May 11 tours are available starting at 8:30am – 11:30pm
SPECIAL NOTES:
The tour is an hour and 15-minute experience, covering about two miles on foot. Most of the tour is wheelchair accessible, except for some stairs that can be navigated by going via ramp.
No dogs are allowed on this tour.

Most of Tulip Time activities are outdoors. Events will take place drizzle or sun, so please dress for the weather. In the event of forecasted continuous rain or severe weather, please see Cancellation/Refund Policy below.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
Walking Tour tickets are non-refundable except under the following circumstances:
In the event that Tulip Time must cancel the event due to forecasted continuous rain, severe weather or other uncontrollable circumstances, Tulip Time will provide a full refund to all ticketholders within 90 days of the original event date.
Cancellation Notification
Notification will be posted in the Announcement Bar at the top of the www.tuliptime.com Home Page, on Facebook and Instagram at least 45 minutes prior to the event.

If you’re looking for a beautiful spring destination, think Tulip Time in Holland, Michigan!
The festival began in 1929 when the City of Holland saw its first crop of 100,000 tulips bloom. Since then, Holland has blossomed each spring with millions of tulips. Celebrating our 94th year in 2023, Tulip Time has grown over the decades to be so much more than a flower festival. Today the splendor continues, with fun events and activities for all ages.
Tulip Time parades are some of the largest and most spectacular events in Michigan. Thousands of spectators line the streets to watch amazing floats, marching bands, and Dutch Dancers in over two miles of pure celebration. Throughout the week, Dutch Dancers also perform throughout our blooming downtown, high-kicking their wooden shoes through traditional folk dances. Beyond the beautiful flowers, this special week offers a great variety of national and local entertainment, a carnival, fireworks, and much more.

Welcome aboard the tall ship Friends Good Will, a replica Great Lakes sloop from 1810 owned and operated by the Michigan Maritime Museum. Dutch heritage is deeply intertwined with water, trade, and the art of sailing, so step aboard history and explore. The Museum strives to interpret, preserve, and teach maritime heritage here in the Great Lakes region by offering daily dockside tours of this remarkable and historic ship.
Dockside tours run May 4 through May 11 from 10a-4p daily at Boatwerks North Dock.
$8 per person

Same-day tickets will be available for purchase at the admission gate subject to availability.

he Tulip Time Quilt Show will put West Michigan quilter’s artistry on display for all to appreciate at Midtown Center in Holland. Over 100 exquisite quilts will be hung for patrons to enjoy up close. Every cut, every stitch, every pattern will showcase the quilter’s skill and experience in an increasingly rare craft. Guests will be able to purchase tickets for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind quilt, made specifically to commemorate this year's 95th festival.
Tickets are general admission and may be used once any day or time during open hours.

The musicians of the Holland American Legion Band have performed around the country and the world. This concert includes pillars from the concert band literature including the music of Percy Grainger, Gustav Holst, a patriotic salute to our armed forces and music that shows off the virtuosity of these talented musicians and is a moving tribute.

Beginning at 8th Street & Columbia Ave., continuing on 8th Street to Kollen Park
The public is invited to take part in this grand tradition. They will don their Dutch costumes, grab a bucket and a broom, and scrub the streets clean for the coming performances. Town officials will walk through with their ceremonial white glove inspection to approve the streets for the parade and when the town crier officially announces the official's approval, the parade will start.
STREET SCRUBBERS: Please bring your own brooms and buckets. Scrubbing starts at 2:00 pm at the corner of 8th Street and Columbia Ave. Participants are encouraged to show up at 1:15 to line up. Scrubbers are asked to gather in the pocket park on the northeast corner of 8th Street and Columbia Ave.

The Gentex Kinderparade (children’s parade) is a time-honored favorite. Elementary school children will line up with their teachers and school administrators in full costume and smiling faces as they march together through downtown Holland. Each school and grade will have their own theme that nods to the towns’ Dutch heritage, from Dutch agriculture to the Dutch Master’s painters. Dozens of bands from West Michigan middle and high schools showcase their talents amid the community floats through downtown Holland. The adorable Dutch Dogs join in the fun too!
