OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 28, 2024) – A two-vehicle crash in West Olive on Thursday night hospitalized one of the drivers involved.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Smoes, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to the intersection of 120th Avenue and Stanton Street around 9:15 PM. That was where an eastbound Jeep apparently went through a stop sign and smashed into a southbound Toyota, which had the right of way, causing it to roll over.
While the at-fault motorist, a 19-year-old Grand Rapids man, suffered just bumps and bruises, the other driver, a 33-year-old Allendale man, was taken to Corewell-Zeeland Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The area was blocked off for about an hour as a result of the collision, which remains under investigation.
