SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 14, 2024) – After sifting through 48 job applications, the Saugatuck City Council has narrowed the list to four for filling the vacant City Manager position.
Coming to that Lakeshore community for separate public interview sessions on May 22, between 3 PM and 6:30 PM, are former Paw Paw Village Manager William Joseph, current Wayland City Manager Joshua Eggleston, and Officer-in-Charge for the US Coast Guard Station Niagara William Shehan, a one-time Operations Manager for the Coast Guard Station in Grand Haven. They will join current Interim City Manager Ryan Cummins in separate conversations with Council members, with the public invited to observe in person at the second floor meeting room of Saugatuck City Hall (102 Butler St.), or virtually via Zoom.
City officials didn’t say when a final vote on Ryan Heise’s successor would take place. Cummins was handed the operational reins for the moment when Heise stepped down in February.
