GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 20, 2025) – An 84-year-old man from the Grand Rapids suburb of Wyoming, along with a shopper at a Jenison retailer, were hospitalized after a vehicle drove into a store on Thursday morning.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tamminga following the incident that occurred around 10:40 AM at the Dollar Tree off of Cottonwood Drive near Baldwin Street. It appeared that the older man had initially crashed his SUV into an unoccupied parked car in front of the store, and before deputies could arrive, he then pulled his vehicle forward and through the front windows of the retailer, causing debris to fall on the shopper.
Both persons were taken to undisclosed “local hospitals” for treatment of minor, non-life-threatening injuries. No dollar estimate of the damage caused in the store was immediately determined as the incident remains under investigation.
