HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 21, 2025) – Downtown Holland will be the place to be this weekend.
On Friday, the 28th annual Holland Friends of Art Kerstmarkt will begin its five-week-long run at the 8th Street Marketplace (150 W. 8th St.), outside of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place. During Fridays and Saturdays through December 20th, there will be 27 booths of unique, locally-produced, handcrafted gifts from various vendors, as well as authentic Dutch foods, and traditional holiday gluhwein (hot mulled wine) for those 21 and older. For this opening weekend, holiday music will be playing on Friday evening, and the Crystal Blue Sled Dogs make an appearance on Saturday afternoon.
Also on Saturday, besides the beginning weekend of Kerstmarkt, along with the weekly Holland Farmers Market, will be the annual Downtown Holland Holiday Open House from 5-8 PM, with nearly 50 retailers participating, according to Linda Hart, Executive Director of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau.
