HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 25, 2025) – A holiday tradition dating back 30 years returns on Wednesday evening.
The Great Thanksgiving Banquet takes over DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland, where over a thousand people from all walks of life sit down together to enjoy a literal feast of traditional fare. Put on by Gateway Mission, staff have been preparing about 1,800 pounds of roasted turkey, 30 pans each of mashed potatoes, stuffing and green bean casserole, 25 gallons of homemade gravy, and over a thousand pieces of pie.
According to Jason Parks of the Mission, everything appears to be in place.
Doors open at DeVos Fieldhouse for the Great Thanksgiving Banquet at 5:30 PM, and the free dinner will be served at 6 PM. While donations to Gateway Missions will be accepted on site, ministry officials are asking those wishing to give to go to their website.
