OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 22, 2026) – The battle over addressing child porn in Ottawa County continues.
On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office disclosed several cases involving persons distributing child sexually abusive material that have been successfully prosecuted in recent months. The accused all pleaded guilty to a number of aggravated distributing, promoting and possession child porn, and were all sentenced to prison terms of between a year and a half to 15 years.
Sheriff’s Detective Captain Jake Sparks says that these arrests and convictions have come through diligent work.
In addition, detectives say that additional arrests have been made on several investigations, including two occurring earlier this month, and anyone with any information as to child porn occurring is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office or Ottawa County Silent Observer (877-887-4536).
