SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 22, 2026) – Another municipal entity discusses a financial blueprint for Fiscal 2027 on Wednesday.
During its biweekly workshop, the Saugatuck City Council is expected to go over a nearly $7.5 million proposed general fund spending plan with City Manager Ryan Cummins. It’s around two million dollars more than the amended budget currently in place, with about three million dollars designated for public works appropriations, and is based on estimated revenues of $12.2 million.
A date for a public hearing and final vote is still to be decided, with a June 30th deadline for having the budget in place. Upcoming municipal budget hearings and votes are slated for May 3 in Zeeland, and May 13 in Holland.
The 4 PM Saugatuck City Council’s workshop is in the second-floor meeting room of Saugatuck City Hall (102 Butler St.), with the public invited to observe. An online link to the agenda and supporting documents is here.
