GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 30, 2026) – A 32-year-old Virginia man is not contesting charges stemming from assaulting a Holland Township woman over a several-month span.
Christian Montijo entered the no contest plea, in 20th Circuit Court on Wednesday, to several counts of assault, domestic violence, criminal sexual conduct related to kidnapping, fleeing and eluding, firearm use during a felony, and reckless driving over four separate cases, all involving the assault of an unnamed 31-year-old woman.
The matter began at the victim’s home late in 2024, and he fled back to his Manassas, Virginia at that time. It continued several months later when he returned to this area and allegedly hid in her vehicle as she was getting ready to go to work. Montijo was subsequently arrested by state police troopers in the South Haven area.
He will be sentenced by Judge Karen Miedema on June 1st.
