LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 7, 2026) – While the Tulip Time Festival winds down this weekend, another annual event along the Lakeshore is getting a boost from Lansing.
On Thursday, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development announced that the Ottawa County Fair will receive a nearly $12,000 grant to help pay for electrical services upgrades at its Park Township fairgrounds. The work would not only support 4-H activities at the site, but also improve power stability for livestock areas, campers, and vendors.
The award is part of over $500,000 in County Fairs Capital Improvement Grants to eight local fairs in infrastructure improvements. Ottawa County Fair officials look to have their work completed before this year’s events, slated for July 27th through August 1st.
