GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jun. 13, 2025) – Dave Lorenz couldn’t stay retired for long.
After spending more than two decades as vice president and travel director with the Pure Michigan branch of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Grand Haven man decided to step down at the end of 2023, becoming a retained consultant for several entities, before he was contacted by the West Michigan Tourist Association, an entity he was familiar with as of of its past board members.
Lorenz has already targeted several projects and initiatives within the WMTA to improve its impact, as one of the first such tourism promotion groups to be formed is in its 109th year.
