Kristi Joy (Schaap) Lemmen, 73, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Holland, Michigan. Born on July 28, 1952, Kristi was a life-long Holland resident, a founding member of Rose Park Baptist Church, and the co-owner of Lemon Fresh Cleaners with her husband Roger.
Kristi loved knitting and sewing, and she found special joy in the blooming of rhododendrons and the flight of hummingbirds. Her favorite days were those spent caring for her garden, gathering with friends and family, and watching her loved ones play music and sports. To everyone who knew her, she reflected the love of Christ: kind, persistent, and unconditional.
Kristi is survived by her husband, Roger Lemmen, and her children, Tami and Jeff Parks and Tom and Alana Lemmen, as well as seven grandchildren: Joshua Parks and Bethany Cok; Jonathan Parks and Chloe Looman; and Jayden, Conner, and Audrey Lemmen. Other surviving family include her siblings, Jack and Traci Schaap; and her siblings-in-law, Bonnie and Mark Meengs, Sally and Tom Fosdick, and Cindy Collins.
She had many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Marlene (Elgersma) Schaap.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 25 beginning at 3 PM with a funeral service to follow beginning at 6 PM. Both the Visitation and Service will be held at Lakeshore Memorial Services located at 11939 James St. Holland, MI 49424.
