OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 27, 2026) – It’s a necessary precaution in this day and age being taken by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
The biannual Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class is set for Tuesday evening at the county’s Administration Building in the Fillmore Street complex. The two-hour session provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan to surviving an active shooter event.
This class, as has been the case with other such sessions over the past few years, is already at capacity, according to Sheriff Eric DeBoer.
The county is offering an email notification subscription for those interested in attending future CRASE classes.
