PARK TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jul. 29, 2026) – A three-vehicle pileup on the way to the beach late on Wednesday morning landed two teenaged girls from Holland in the hospital.
No names were disclosed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Michael Tammenga, as first responders were dispatched around 11:10 AM to the intersection of Ottawa Beach Road and 152nd Avenue. That was where a westbound Jeep apparently went through a red light and slammed into a minivan going south. The Jeep then flipped over and crashed into a eastbound pickup truck, ending up on its roof.
The 17-year-old driving the Jeep, along with an 18-year-old passenger, neither of whom were buckled up, were taken to undisclosed “local hospitals” for treatment, while a 16-year-old Holland boy driving the minivan, along with the driver and a passenger in the pickup truck, only described as being from New York State, were not hurt.
The incident remains under investigation.
